Heritage Roofing & Repair is a roofer serving Fayetteville, AR and the rest of Washington County. The business was founded in 1968 and handles residential and commercial roofing across Northwest Arkansas — repairs, full replacements, storm and hail damage, and free inspections.
Fayetteville sits at about 1,400 feet on the edge of the Boston Mountains, and the terrain does real work on roofs. Wind moves hard across the ridges around Mount Sequoyah and the west side of town, spring hail comes through most years, and the older housing stock in the historic neighborhoods near the square carries roofs that have already outlived one or two replacements.
If you are searching for a roofer near you in Fayetteville, start with a free roof inspection. We look at the whole roof and tell you plainly whether you are looking at a repair, a replacement, or nothing at all. Call (870) 654-1164 or request a free roof inspection.
We’ve worked through decades of changing weather patterns, learning exactly which materials and techniques last.
All our professionals are fully certified, and our work is backed by comprehensive insurance policies.
Our trucks are stocked for immediate deployment after storms.
Our Testimonials speak for themselves, with dozens of 5-star reviews from satisfied homeowners.
Yes, Heritage handles residential roofing throughout Fayetteville and Washington County — leak repair, full replacement, maintenance, emergency response and new installation. Our residential roofing crews work on everything from the older homes around the historic square to newer builds out toward the west side.
Fayetteville has more rental and multi-family property than anywhere else Heritage works — the University of Arkansas has been here since 1871 and the student population reshapes the housing stock every year. Our commercial roofing and multi-family roofing work is scheduled around tenants and turnover rather than against them.
Impact-rated metal and architectural asphalt shingles hold up best against Northwest Arkansas hail. We walk through the trade-offs on roofing materials before anything is ordered.
Washington County sits in the National Weather Service’s Northwest Arkansas warning area (zone ARZ010), with severe thunderstorm, hail and tornado warnings issued from its Tulsa forecast office. After a storm, get the roof documented before you file anything — undocumented damage is what gets claims underpaid.
Heritage Roofing & Repair is licensed and insured, and registered with the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board under license #0433900424.

Had some wind and hail damage to our roof in 2023. We got a 3 different quotes, one too high and one too low. We went with Heritage because their price was just about what the insurance company quoted. Cade and Rex were supper great to work with and very…
…quick to respond to any questions or issues we had. Their team was very quick to tear off nearly 4000 sq ft of roof and have it reshingled in about 2 days. I highly recommend them and have done so to several friends and family that are just as pleased as I am with their work. After nearly a year and a half, we have had zero issues.

Cade made sure I understood what to expect throughout the process. I highly recommend Heritage Roofing & Repair.

Very Professional ! They did a great job. My husband & I are disabled seniors. We live in the Branson Mo. area. Cade Chappelle the project manager was fantastic !!! He helped us deal with our insurance company, by sending pictures for us and estimates,…
…also got up on the roof when the insurance adjuster was here and made sure he didn't miss any of the hail damage, not only to our roof, but the gutters and our siding too. Plus 2 other out buildings. Cade kept in touch with & sent all the info our insurance company; which was based in Texas asked for. It helped us get the maximum recovery for our home. It took so much stress off us, cause we are not tech savvy and things were all done online. Knowing Cade was handling things, made the whole process so much easier for us ! The workmen that actually took off the old roof & put the new one on, were very professional and fast. They did a great clean up of the yard when they were done ! Our neighbor used Heritage too, and was very pleased also. Kenneth & Elaine Peters
Heritage Roofing did a wonderful job for us. Had hail damage and full roof replacement. They were fast, reliable and left everything the way they found it. Cleaned up every nail and such. I will definitely call them again for all our roofing needs. They were one of the lowest bids too. So great value and customer service for the price.
These folks did a great job with our shingled house. Did it in one day! Would definitely use them again
I worked with Cade Chappelle, with Heritage! I tell ya what, if I could just replicate this guy and deal with him on all large projects/purchases. Top notch communication, professional, courteous, and just a good dude. Not enough adjectives to do this company…
…justice. Cade understood sometimes unfortunate things happen in life that can be stressful. In this case having to replace my roof. He literally took care of everything for me, and followed up multiple times to ensure I was satisfied. From the time their crew started to finish was less than 48 hours. My roof, yard, and flower beds were all in better shape when they left as to when they arrived. Been a long time since I have felt valued as a customer, give Heritage a chance and ask for Cade. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Michael was extremely professional and guided me through the process of filing a claim with my insurance. I would highly recommend Michael and Heritage Roofing to anyone needing a new roof.
They're extremely responsive and did everything they said they would do. We had a terrible experience with a company by the name of over the top roofing out of Springfield, and it was nothing like that. These guys stuck to their word and did a great job. I would recommend them highly.
Great experience! Roofers were concerned with doing a great job.
Excellent company. Fair price. Quality work. Would definitely recommend them.
I was approached by someone wanting to check my roof out from Heritage Roofing. I explained to them I already had it inspected with my insurance and someone insurance hired, and it’s good. They asked if they could still verify it’s good, because a lot of the…
…times insurance doesn’t fully check. I was hestitant, because I don’t (or didn’t*) trust roofing companies, but said, “sure, why not!”. After they were done inspecting it, I just knew they were going to come with a ton of issues and tell me I need a new roof. The 2 guys got finished, and they told me my roof is in great condition and I don’t need one right now. I didn’t actually use them for a new roof, but I 100% will whenever I need a new one. They are honest, and you can actually trust them to tell the truth! Glad I found them! Honesty + Roofing companies are hard to come by! So glad he stopped by.
We definitely would recommend Heritage Roofing and Repair. Our home was hit by a huge storm and Rex was able to work with our general contractor so that our roof could be replaced in an organized fashion along with our other repairs. He also trusted our…
…insurance company and worked within their estimate. His crew worked quickly and efficiently to get the roof repaired. They did a very nice cleanup job too. Rex was also very good at answering texts, emails, and phone calls. And best of all, the roof looked amazing when it was finished!
I'd made numerous phone calls trying to find help having developed some leaks in a 16 year old metal roof. These folks responded where others couldn't or wouldn't. They are knowledgeable and work hard filling a much needed niche in this area at a fair price.
Wouldn't hesitate to give them a call.
Love love love the job they did. Fast, courteous, and thorough.
Rex and his team were amazing to work with.. They did an amazing and timely job! Super easy to work with!

Rex and his crew where very productive and helpful. They did a wonderful job on our roof and we would recommend them to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful job.
No, you do not need a permit to reroof a house in Fayetteville. The city’s building regulations specifically exempt reroofing of existing residential dwellings, including detached garages, from the permit requirement — though the work still has to meet every applicable code. New construction, structural changes and commercial work are different, and those go through the City of Fayetteville’s permitting office. We handle that paperwork when a job needs it.
Contractors working in Arkansas are registered through the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board. Ask any roofer for their license number before signing.
Heritage works across Washington County and the wider Northwest Arkansas region, including Johnson, Farmington, Greenland, Elkins, Prairie Grove and Tontitown, and north through the metro. These communities have pages of their own:

No. Fayetteville’s building regulations exempt reroofing of existing residential dwellings, including detached garages and portable buildings, from the permit requirement. The work still has to meet all applicable code requirements. New construction, structural changes and commercial roofing do require permits through the City of Fayetteville.
Check that they are registered with the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board, ask for the license number, and get the inspection findings in writing before any money changes hands. Heritage Roofing & Repair has been roofing Northwest Arkansas since 1968 and offers free, no-obligation roof inspections across Fayetteville and Washington County.
Yes. Heritage serves Fayetteville and the rest of Washington County, including Johnson, Farmington, Greenland, Elkins, Prairie Grove and Tontitown, and north through Springdale and Rogers. The company was founded in 1968, has an office at 7 1/2 E Mountain St #202 in Fayetteville and runs its main office at 3458 Hwy 221 N in Berryville. Call (870) 654-1164.
Impact-rated metal roofing and architectural asphalt shingles handle Northwest Arkansas hail and ridge wind best. Lighter three-tab shingles bruise and shed granules faster here. For the older homes in Fayetteville’s historic neighborhoods, composite slate gives the right look without adding structural weight.
Cost depends on the roof’s size and pitch, the material, how many layers come off, and the condition of the decking underneath. Heritage provides a written roof replacement estimate after a free inspection, with the price broken out before any work is scheduled.
Most hail and wind damage is not visible from the ground. Look for granules in gutters and downspouts, dented vents or flashing, and shingles lifted along ridges and rakes. After a storm, book a free hail damage inspection rather than guessing — undocumented damage is what gets insurance claims underpaid.
Yes. Heritage inspects the roof slope by slope, photographs the damage and supplies claim-ready documentation for your insurance roof claim. Most Arkansas homeowners policies cover sudden storm and hail damage but not age-related wear, so the documentation is what separates the two.
Yes. Emergency roof repair is available for active leaks and storm damage, with same-day service in most cases. Call (870) 654-1164. Move what you can out from under the leak and put down a container, but do not go onto a wet roof.
Yes. Heritage does multi-family roofing on apartments, condos and townhomes, sequenced around tenants and turnover. Rental property tends to accumulate deferred roof maintenance, so a documented inspection before a leak starts is usually the cheaper route for owners and managers.
Once a year, and again after any storm that brings hail or high wind through Washington County. An annual roof inspection catches lifted shingles, failed flashing and small leaks while they are still repairs rather than replacements. Heritage roof inspections in Fayetteville are free.
