Vinyl siding is usually the lowest-cost option and never needs painting. It comes in many colors and profiles, including lap and vertical board-and-batten styles. James Hardie makes fiber cement siding. James Hardie says its siding is noncombustible and resists moisture damage and pests such as woodpeckers and termites. It is available with ColorPlus, a factory-applied, baked-on color.
Diamond Kote is a siding system built on LP SmartSide engineered wood, with a finish applied in the factory. Because the color goes on in a factory instead of on your house, there is no painting after install.
Metal siding is a common choice in the Ozarks for shops, barns, outbuildings and commercial buildings, and on homes that want a clean, modern look. It pairs well with a metal roof, which we also install.

No siding is hail-proof. Fiber cement and engineered wood are rigid boards, while vinyl is a thinner panel that can crack, especially in cold weather. We explain the trade-offs for your house on the free estimate.
It depends on your policy and the damage. We inspect the siding, photograph the damage and give you the documentation for your claim. Your insurance company decides what is covered.
